~62 BBY - Birth on Duro

Born as Colby. He never knew his parents and grew up an orphan on the streets of a crime-ridden city alongside his friend Niro.

Early life - Recruited by Lazlo

After watching Colby and Niro con a droid, the gangster Lazlo takes them on for a raid on a shop's casino. Niro is caught by police, and Colby escapes with Lazlo's gang, who give him his friend's share.

Early life - Becomes Cad Bane

Now calling himself Cad Bane, he is a member of Lazlo's gang and in a relationship with Arin, another gang member.

Early life - Revenge for Lazlo

When a marshal kills Lazlo, Bane takes his hat and hunts the lawman down. He kills the marshal in a showdown, but Arin is wounded, and Niro, now a deputy, has him arrested.

Early life - Prison and the killing of Niro

Bane serves time on Torano and is freed five years early on a technicality. He comes home, discovers that Arin married Niro, kills Niro in a gunfight and leaves town after meeting the boy Isaac.

Before 32 BBY - Mentored by Jango Fett

At the start of his bounty hunting career, Jango Fett mentors Bane for a short time. Bane ends up owing him favors he never repays.

Before 32 BBY - Hired by Darth Maul

On Nar Shaddaa, Bane, Aurra Sing and other hunters help Maul capture the Padawan Eldra Kaitis from Xev Xrexus's auction. They survive a crash on the Moon of Drazkel and the hunters sent after them.

22 BBY - Top of the trade

With Jango Fett dead at Geonosis, Bane is regarded as the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. He works for the Separatists and the Hutts.

~21 BBY - Raid on the Jedi Temple

Darth Sidious hires Bane to steal a holocron from the Jedi Temple's vault. With help from Cato Parasitti and Todo 360, he gets away with it.

~21 BBY - Battle of Devaron

Bane captures Jedi Master Bolla Ropal and his kyber memory crystal, and Ropal dies under torture. Bane then holds Ahsoka Tano hostage to make Anakin Skywalker open the holocron, fakes his own death and escapes.

~21 BBY - Kidnapping Force-sensitive children

For Sidious he abducts Wee Dunn and Zinn Toa. He is caught on Naboo while trying to take Roo-Roo Page, leads the Jedi into a trap at Black Stall Station and escapes.

~21 BBY - Senate hostage crisis

Working for Jabba and the Hutt Council, Bane's crew takes senators hostage in the Senate Building and trades them for Ziro the Hutt's release.

~21 BBY - Hunt for Ziro

Hired again to find Ziro after he escapes, Bane tracks him to Teth and finds him already dead. He fights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos there and gets away.

~20 BBY - Prison break with Moralo Eval

Bane lets himself be locked up so he can break Moralo Eval out of the Republic's Central Detention Center. With help from Boba Fett and Bossk they escape, taking "Rako Hardeen" with them.

~20 BBY - The Box and the plot against Palpatine

Bane kills Bulduga for his hat on Serenno, survives Count Dooku's tournament in the Box and oversees the plot to kidnap Chancellor Palpatine. The plan fails because Hardeen is Kenobi in disguise, and Bane is arrested.

19 BBY - The hunt for Omega

Now working under the new Empire, Bane is hired by Lama Su to bring back the clone Omega. He catches her, but Fennec Shand and Clone Force 99 take her from him.

9 ABY - Enforcer for the Pykes

Bane works as the Pyke Syndicate's enforcer on Tatooine while they push the spice trade into Mos Espa. He shoots down Cobb Vanth and taunts his old protégé Boba Fett.

9 ABY - Death in Mos Espa

During the fight for Mos Espa, Bane duels Boba Fett in the street. Fett beats him and runs him through with his gaffi stick, killing him.
