57 BBY - Birth on Stewjon

Obi-Wan is born on Stewjon. Later in life he keeps only faint memories of his parents and of a baby he believes was his brother.

57 BBY - Taken to the Jedi Temple

Because he is Force-sensitive, he is brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant before he is six months old and raised in the Kybuck Clan of younglings.

54 BBY - First Force training

At three he begins learning basic Force techniques. Yoda teaches him, and Cin Drallig trains him in lightsaber forms. As a youngling he gets a reputation for breaking rules.

~44 BBY - Padawan of Qui-Gon Jinn

At thirteen he is chosen by Qui-Gon Jinn. The two find it hard to work together, and he builds his first lightsaber.

~41 BBY - Mission to Lenahra

Angry that his master has not shown up, the sixteen-year-old leaves for Lenahra alone. There he meets Dexter Jettster, who becomes a lifelong friend.

~41 BBY - Protecting Satine Kryze

He spends a year on Mandalore with Qui-Gon guarding Duchess Satine Kryze from insurgents and bounty hunters. He falls in love with her but stays loyal to the Jedi Code.

40 BBY - Incident on Teth

A mission to Teth goes wrong, and he is briefly taken hostage by Wanbo the Hutt's majordomo. Afterward he feels he has let his master down.

40 BBY - Crisis on Pijal

He and Qui-Gon uncover a plot by Princess Fanry. Standing in as the Republic's representative, he helps Pijal set up a democratic Assembly.

32 BBY - Invasion of Naboo

He survives the Trade Federation's attempt to kill him and Qui-Gon, helps rescue Queen Amidala, and first meets the young Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine.

32 BBY - Duel with Darth Maul

After Maul kills Qui-Gon in Theed, Obi-Wan cuts the Sith Lord in half and promises his dying master that he will train Anakin.

32 BBY - Knighted and takes Anakin as Padawan

The Jedi Council makes him a Knight and, with reluctance, lets him train Anakin Skywalker.

~30 BBY - Trials of a young master

He takes Anakin on missions such as the one to Dallenor and brings him to Ilum to build his first lightsaber.

22 BBY - Kamino and Geonosis

He finds the secret clone army on Kamino, is captured on Geonosis, and fights Count Dooku as the Clone Wars break out.

22 BBY - High Jedi General

He is given command of the Open Circle Fleet, the Third Systems Army, and the 7th Sky Corps, with Commander Cody as his second, and becomes a Jedi Master on the High Council.

~20 BBY - Death of Satine

Maul returns seeking revenge, takes over Mandalore, and kills Satine in front of Obi-Wan.

19 BBY - Battle of Utapau

He kills General Grievous, which effectively ends the Clone Wars.

19 BBY - Order 66 and Mustafar

He survives the clones' betrayal and learns that Anakin has become Darth Vader. On Mustafar he defeats his former apprentice and leaves him maimed.

19 BBY - Exile on Tatooine

He hands the infant Luke to the Lars family and settles in the desert as the hermit Ben Kenobi.

9 BBY - Rescue of Leia Organa

He comes out of exile to rescue the kidnapped young Leia. Inquisitors hunt him, and in two duels he confronts Vader.

~2 BBY - Final duel with Maul

When Maul tracks him down on Tatooine, Obi-Wan kills him to keep Luke safe.

1 BBY - Meeting Luke

He rescues Luke from Tusken Raiders, gives him Anakin's lightsaber, and hires Han Solo and Chewbacca to fly them to Alderaan.

1 BBY - Death aboard the Death Star

He switches off the tractor beam, then lets Vader strike him down so Luke and his friends can escape. He becomes one with the Force.

0 BBY - Voice at Yavin

His voice tells Luke to use the Force during the run on the Death Star's trench.

3 ABY - Guiding Luke to Dagobah

His Force spirit appears to a freezing Luke on Hoth and sends him to Yoda.

4 ABY - Reunion with Anakin

He tells Luke the truth about his family, and after Endor he appears beside Yoda and the redeemed Anakin.

His voice joins the voices of the Jedi who give Rey strength against the returned Palpatine.
