1 BBY - A Voice Across Time

Years before she is born, Ezra Bridger hears Rey's voice in the World Between Worlds.

15 ABY - Birth on Hyperkarn

Born to Dathan, a Strand-Cast clone of Darth Sidious, and his wife Miramir. Her parents go into hiding as junk traders to keep her from the Emperor's agents.

~21 ABY - Left on Jakku

Her parents leave her with Unkar Plutt at Niima Outpost. Ochi, the Sith assassin, catches and kills them. Rey grows up alone, still waiting for them to return.

~21 ABY - The Scavenger of Niima Outpost

Rey salvages parts from the Starship Graveyard in exchange for food rations and makes her home inside the fallen AT-AT Hellhound Two.

~25 ABY - The Rebel Pilot's Helmet

At about ten, she finds Dosmit Ræh's Rebel flight helmet and makes up stories about the pilot's adventures. She also teaches herself to fly on a salvaged simulator.

28 ABY - A Chill in the Force

Rey feels a cold sensation as Ben Solo falls to the dark side, without understanding what it is.

28–34 ABY - Life on Jakku

She repairs a Ghtroc 690 freighter, only for Devi and Strunk to steal it. She also rescues Unkar Plutt from Zool Zendiat's gang and keeps working as Niima Outpost's best scavenger.

34 ABY - Meeting BB-8 and Finn

She rescues BB-8 from Teedo and turns down Plutt's offer to buy the droid. With Finn, she escapes the First Order aboard the Millennium Falcon.

34 ABY - Han Solo and Chewbacca

Han Solo and Chewbacca take in the fugitives. Rey helps them get free of the Guavian Death Gang and Kanjiklub, and Han offers her a job on the Falcon.

34 ABY - Maz Kanata's Castle

On Takodana, Luke Skywalker's old lightsaber calls to Rey and gives her a Force vision. Kylo Ren captures her during the First Order attack.

34 ABY - Starkiller Base

She resists Kylo Ren's mind probe, uses a Jedi mind trick to escape, and sees Han die. She then defeats Kylo Ren in a lightsaber duel as the base collapses.

34 ABY - Finding Luke Skywalker

Using the completed map, Rey flies with Chewbacca and R2-D2 to Ahch-To and offers Luke his lightsaber.

34 ABY - Training on Ahch-To

Luke reluctantly teaches her about the Force. A Force bond forms between Rey and Kylo Ren, and she is drawn into the dark side cave.

34 ABY - Snoke's Throne Room

Rey goes to the Supremacy to turn Ben Solo back to the light. They kill Snoke and his Praetorian Guards together, but Ben will not come with her, and Luke's lightsaber is broken in two.

34 ABY - Battle of Crait

Rey clears the rocks blocking the survivors' escape and saves the last of the Resistance. She takes the Jedi texts with her.

34–35 ABY - Apprentice to Leia

Leia Organa trains Rey as a Jedi while the Resistance rebuilds.

35 ABY - Search for Exegol

When Palpatine returns, Rey follows Ochi's trail to Pasaana, Kijimi, and Kef Bir. There she learns she is Palpatine's granddaughter and nearly kills Kylo Ren before healing him.

35 ABY - Exile on Ahch-To

Afraid of her heritage, Rey tries to exile herself. Luke's spirit convinces her to face Palpatine, and she takes Luke's X-wing to Exegol.

35 ABY - Battle of Exegol

Rey and a redeemed Ben Solo face Palpatine together. With strength from past Jedi, she turns his lightning back on him and destroys him, dying in the process.

35 ABY - Resurrection

Ben Solo gives his life force to revive Rey. They kiss before he becomes one with the Force.

35 ABY - Rey Skywalker

On Tatooine, Rey buries Luke's and Leia's lightsabers at the Lars homestead, shows her own yellow-bladed saber, and takes the name Skywalker.

After 35 ABY - Jedi Master

At some later point, Rey becomes a Jedi Master.
